A Kenyan woman has been arraigned in court for slapping a young boy who she falsely accused of throwing stones at her house.

Scovia Muyekho was said to have found the boy whose mother was out running her daily errands, sitting outside on a rock.

It was gathered some kids who were playing outside, were the ones throwing stones on the woman's house.

Muyekho  who reportedly dashed out to warn the kids against throwing stones at her house, found only the boy sitting outside as the kids were long gone.

Without confirming who exactly was pelting stones at her house, she approached the minor identified simply as R.D from behind and landed slaps that sent him sprawling onto the ground. R.D. ran to their house house while crying and in much pain. His two teeth reportedly got loose as a result of a slap impact.

R.D’s mother arrived home later and found her son not feeling well. The minor told her what had transpired and that the next-door neighbour was the one responsible.

The boy had difficulties in eating and six days after the incident, his uncle took him to the hospital whereby the shaky teeth were removed.  On October 3, R.D. was escorted by his mother to Kibera police station where they recorded the statement and the accused was apprehended and charged before Kibera Principal Magistrate Sharon Maroro.

She denied the claims saying that the complainant had agreed to withdraw the matter but Maroro could not approve the withdrawal since the victim was a minor. Muyekho was released on a cash bail of ksh10,000 pending mention on October 25.

Guinean president arrested by army in reported

Conde, 83, was re-elected for a third term in October 2020 in an election marred by violence.

His arrest was announced within hours after heavy gunfire was heard in Guinea's capital Conakry around the presidential palace on Sunday morning.

The situation remains unclear as Conde's government said in an earlier statement that an attack on the presidential palace by special forces had been "repulsed."

The report said soldiers were seen driving at high speeds through the capital near the presidential palace and urging residents to stay home.

A military source told local media that the only bridge connecting the mainland to the Kaloum neighborhood, which houses most of the ministries and presidential palace, had been sealed off by heavily armed troops posted around the palace.

A Cameroonian Facebook user, Ayisha Togina, has shared the story of 16-year-old twin sisters who are pregnant for same boy.

According to Ms Togina, the pregnant teenagers and their father live in abject poverty and have resorted to sleeping with men in the suburbs of Buea in order to feed.

16-year-old twin sisters impregnated by same boy in Cameroon

Twin sisters impregnated by the same boy

Meet this family of three. A struggling father providing for his almost due pregnant daughters in the suburbs of Buea.

Theirs is not a beautiful story but an example of the reality of life especially in crisis stricken English Cameroon.

This family lived at Tole where both sisters (16 years old) were impregnated by the same boy of their age in their local community just before the armed crisis forced them to move to Muea where they stayed with their dad’s friend who breaks stones for gravel.

They had to leave yet again this time because of sexual harassment from their dad’s friend. Still pregnant they relocated to a community far behind Sandpit (Likoko) where they stay in a rotting plank house with no doors or windows.

They sleep on a single mattress placed on the floor without a carpet and no blankets or extra bed sheets. Their house is surrounded by a bush, a breeding ground for mosquitoes and a habitat for other dangerous animals animals and insects

Their toilet, accessible by a bush path has no roof but a single hole made in the cement serving as the floor. The slimy, shaky cement has been covered by algae and and branches and leaves of the trees surrounding it. For privacy there are two mud stained bed-sheets hanging at the entrance to the 3 block walled toilet with many holes..

This family pays rents of 5,000 FCFA monthly to stay in that house, they don’t even feed regularly because their father can’t find odd jobs daily.

A truth exploited by the local men in the area leading these vulnerable pregnant girls to bed which they accept in-order to feed.

Wonder how we met them? We met this pregnant girls when they came to the Solidarity Hospital Buea. We got their address and hired a car to their community to witness their living conditions and provide some basic materials. With their permission we took this photos and videos to share their story to the world.

Their story is one of the realities of Poverty, Dispute and the lives of IDPs. It shows us the vulnerability of poor girls and the damaging effects of lack of education.

Thank you for reading, we now call on the community, health organizations, female empowerment bodies, the government and people of good will to step in and assist this family. The Solidarity Hospital is taking care of their antenatal follow up but there is always a place for every helping hand in their lives.

Twin Sisters Give Fiance Ultimatum: Marry One For The Price Of Two

Thembi a 37-year-old lady from Ekurhuleni shocked her fiance when she told him that they can only be together if he also agrees to marry her twin sister Thembisile.

It would be every man’s dream to be given such a wonderful ultimatum, but not according to Sipho who is refusing the once-in-a-lifetime offer saying it goes against his religious beliefs to have two wives.

Thembi and Thembisile Ndlovu who live in Edenpark, Ekurhuleni lost their parents at a very young age and vowed that they will never be separated.

Sipho Njomane (40) went down on one knee and popped the question ‘Will you marry me’, to the love of his life Thembi.

To his surprise, Thembi replied: “YOU MUST BE READY TO TAKE MY SISTER AS WELL. YOU MUST MARRY US BOTH!”

Thembi said that she was in love with Sipho but wasn’t sure how he would react to the ultimatum.

I love Sipho, but I can’t marry him and leave my sister behind.

We knew we had to stand together no matter what.

We vowed that if a man loves only one of us, he’s not good enough for either of us, she said.

Sipho told Daily Sun that his Christian beliefs did not permit him to marry two wives and that he feared being expelled from his church if he married the twins.

I don’t know what to do. I’m getting old and Thembi is the right person for me, he said.

However, the twins’ uncle Mr. Mathunjiwa Ndima (71) weighed in saying it was okay for the girls to marry one man.

To marry one and leave the other behind can cause problems. It’s better if they marry the same man to stay as close as they are.

Mtimande Ngwenya a cultural expert said Sipho had hit the jackpot marrying two women for the price of one.

He also explained that marrying twins will not have any conflicting problems with religion saying: “It’s not like marrying two different people from different families.”

Thembi said she met Sipho in March last year at a pharmacy when she had gone to buy medication and groceries for Thembisile who was not feeling well at that time.

I told Thembisile about the guy, and when he invited me for a date I took her with me and we always went out together.

Sipho proposed in December, but I told him he’d have to marry us both, she said.

The United States has formally removed Sudan from its state sponsors of terrorism blacklist, a move that could help the African country get international loans to revive its battered economy and end its pariah status.

The US Embassy in Khartoum said in a Facebook post that the removal of Sudan was effective as of Monday December 14, and that a notification to that effect, signed by US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, would be published in the Federal Register. It said the 45-day congressional notification period has lapsed.

The announcement came less than two months after the African nation pledged to normalise ties with Israel.

Sudan’s army chief General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, who doubles as the head of the Sovereign Council (the country’s highest executive authority) offered his “congratulations to the Sudanese people” in reaction to the announcement.

He said;

“It was a task accomplished… in the spirit of the December revolution”

Sudan is on a fragile transition to democracy following an uprising that led to the military’s ouster of former autocratic President Omar al-Bashir in April 2019. The county is now ruled by a joint military and civilian government that seeks better ties with Washington and the West.

Prominent Zambian opposition leader, Chilufya Tayali, said couple shouldn't waste time in starting a family immediately after wedding, adding that his partymembers will ban all contraceptive advertisements if they come into power.

"Honeymoon is not about playing with animals" - Opposition leader advises Zambian President

Mr Tayali, the President of the Economic and Equity Party (EEP) stated this while commenting on the pictures of Zambian President Edgar Lungu's daughter Tasila and her husband Patrick interacting with animals on their honeymoon,

"Honeymoon is not just about playing with animals. "It's time to get busy and strengthen the marriage, the two families of the man and woman, grow wealth and secure the future generations," Tayali said.

He said if his party came into power, it would ban contraceptive advertisements running in the media, because Zambia's population was too small for the "big and rich Country we have."

"Look at me, when I got my first wife, from Rwanda, I wasted no time to cause her crave for fresh fish and our first born is now 17 years doing University. I allowed her to breathe for her body to get back in shape and I brought in the second one. Had we continued with our marriage, we would have been counting 5 by now," he said.

"I am now with Tsega and we are just over a year of our marriage and Kiya is 4 months. We will allow her to grow and let my wife get back in shape as she gets a job, because she is a full time qualified accountant, then.....you can guess," Tayali added.

He said under his administration, families and reproduction will be highly encouraged but those who adopt children will get more incentives, because he did not want children to be without parents as that was not African.

"So, Patrick and Tasila, those lions should turn into children sooner than later," Tayali demanded.

Read full post below:

PATRICK AND TASILA SHOULD NOT WASTE TIME, THEY SHOULD MAKE BABIES, IT'S PART OF EEP POLICIES, OF "FAMILIES MUST COME FIRST "

This article is both my part of my family values and political ideology, so don't take it as a joke, read it carefully and don't be lazy READ TO THE END.

Firstly, I want to thank Patrick and Tasila for being humble and patriotic, they are really walking in the aspirations of Economic and Equity Party (EEP) of appreciating local products and services. It is important that a lot of us take pride in our Country.

I know if Tasila was like my Bemba girls, they would have wanted to fly to Bahamas for the honeymoon, blow a lot of dollars causing the exchange rate to shoot up.
What Patrick and Tasila has done is helping in keeping jobs, paying Taxes and keeping the wheels of the economy turning, this is the only way we can develop.

Moving forward I want to say that a honeymoon is not just about playing with animals, it's time to get busy and strengthen the marriage, the two families of the man and woman, grow wealth and secure the future generations.

It's nonsensical to talk about contraception for two people who just got married, rather you should be talking of boosters in terms of bedroom jobs and fertility.
When EEP comes in power we will ban some of these contraceptive advertisements running in the media, because Zambia's population is too small for the big and rich Country we have.

Look at me, when I got my first wife, from Rwanda, I wasted no time to cause her crave for fresh fish and our first born is now 17 years doing University. I allowed her to breathe for her body to get back in shape and I brought in the second one. Had we continued with our marriage, we would have been counting 5 by now.

I am now with Tsega and we are just over a year of our marriage and Kiya is 4 months. We will allow her to grow and let my wife get back in shape as she gets a job, because she is a full time qualified accountant, then.....you can guess.

Much as I am separated from my first wife, our relationship will last forever, because of children. Diplomatic tires with Rwanda are also naturally sealed, especially when I will be President.

No matter how my wife may not like Zambia because it is under developed, she has no choice to renounce the Country or me, because her first born child is Zambian.
Our diplomatic relationship with Ethiopia is naturally stronger and we will work with them to realise my United States of Africa which was started by great leaders like Col. Gaddafi, killed by the Westerners who are killing our unborn children using contraceptives and abortions, then Kwame Nkhruma the great Panafricanist.

Trust me, when I come to rule Zambia, it will not be business as usual, we will have to claim our heritage and our wealth. Zambia will be on the World Map for strong values, independence not only in what we do but what we won as well. I will not accept laziness and corruption.

Getting back to Patrick and Tasila, as well as other new couples, don't waste time playing, that is for those who are not married. When you get married it is time to make babies.
Of course I am aware of those who may not be able to have children (biologically) in their marriage, but that is because they are selfish otherwise they would still have children. They are so many orphans why should you stay alone in the pretext that you can't conceive. Go get children from the orphanages and be parents.

Lastly, for Country to develop, we need numbers. Zambia's economy will not grow exponentially, unless our population increases. There is no big economic without people to grow it, which is why EEP starts with fundamentals of "FAMILY MUST COME FIRST!".

Under my administration, families and reproduction will be highly encouraged. But those who adopt children will get more incentives, because I want no child to be without parents, it's not African. I don't want street children, they should be in homes or Govt social welfare.

So, Patrick and Tasila, those lions should turn into children sooner than later.
With what I have said here, you can now understand when I say:
TAYALI THE MARRIED MAN - FAMILIES MUST COME FIRST!
EEP - PEOPLE MAKE A NATION!
ZAMBIA MUST BE OWNED BY ZAMBIANS!

A former Makerere University Senior Administrative Assistant has been sentenced to a fine of Shs4m or two years in prison for sexually molesting a former student, Rachael Njoroge.

The chief magistrate said there was overwhelming evidence from the prosecution that proved the case of indecent assault against Kisuze.

However, the magistrate acquitted Kisuze of attempted rape.

Kisuze’s troubles started in 2018 after a photo circulated on social media where he was seen assaulting Ms Njoroge, a former student at the faculty.

In her testimony in court, Ms Njoroge narrated that the encounter with the former registrar occurred when she had gone to pick her transcript after graduation. She narrated that Kisuze locked her up in his office and started assaulting her.

Prosecution contended that the unethical incident happened at Makerere University on April 13, 2018 when Ms Njoroge showed up to certify her transcript and pick her recommendation letter. She was referred to the registrar’s room for help.

Later that evening, she was given the transcript but as she was trying to look through, Kisuze rushed and locked the office door before molesting her.

In his defence, Kisuze told court that Ms Njoroge, upon entering his office, started lamenting how she had been mistreated by the university. He said she actually told him she was feeling dizzy and that she had not eaten anything since morning.

Kisuze claimed as Ms Njoroge tried to stand, she broke down in his office and he thought she was suffering from epilepsy.

“I was stuck; I did not know what to do but I managed to find some drinking water for her. After a few minutes, she started gaining consciousness and she asked what I was doing with her. While wailing, she picked her phone from the bag,” he said.

Kisuze denied being the person in the photos that Ms Njoroge took and were at the time circulating on social media. He said Ms Njoroge was framing him to destroy his 20-year career and ruin his marriage.

Zimbabwe’s schools reopened on a low note on Monday, as pupils were turned away from some schools because there were no teachers to conduct lessons.

This comes after various school teachers heeded to boycott calls by their various unions as very few teachers showed up for work even though students went to school in their numbers.

Many teachers failed to report for duty due to incapacitation and lack of personal protective equipment (PPEs). They are demanding wages in United States dollars and conditions that do not expose them to Covid-19.

One teacher from Mthombowesizwe Primary school in Entumbane who was interviewed by New Zimbabwe revealed that she only reported for duty because she feared the government might deal with those who fail to report for work.

“Honestly, I cannot wake up every day and waste my time here for just ZWL$3 000, it’s unthinkable. I also spend money on transport for me to get here.

“The reason why I am here today is just that I did not want to be victimized. Otherwise, if it continues like this, I will also not show up just like others,” she said.

The Progressive Teachers Union of Zimbabwe (PTUZ) revealed that about 95 percent of its members failed to report for duty.

“The response of the first day of opening was very encouraging. There were over 95 percent upsets of teachers in schools, confirming what we have highlighted to the government that teachers are incapacitated and that teachers could not be so silly to leave their own children at home whilst they are going to school to teach other people’s children.

The Amalgamated Rural Teachers Union of Zimbabwe (ARTUZ)  president Obert Masarure also revealed that only one percent of its members reported for duty in Matabeleland North following the resumption of Zimbabwe Schools Examinations Council (ZIMSEC) examinations classes.

“Teachers failed to turn up for duty. A survey conducted by the ARTUZ today (Monday) revealed that about 5% of teachers showed up in Mashonaland East and Matabeleland North was the worst hit with around 1 percent of our teachers showing up for duty.

He implored on the government to engage with teachers as they have resolved to boycott learning until their salaries are reviewed and the issue of PPEs in schools is addressed.

“We still urge the government to engage teachers so that normalcy can be restored in our schools. Teachers should be paid a living wage and we still demand US$520 for all teachers,” said Masaraure.

“We will continue on this path until the value of our salaries is restored but on the World Teachers Day (October 5), we are going to escalate our struggle. We are going to take to the streets.”
