Satanic Church Opens In SA… Here’s What’s Mzansi Thinks
Yesterday Mzansi Twitter was abuzz with reactions ranging from indifference, outrage, terror and joy, after E news announced that the Satanic church would open its doors once again to the public.

South African Satanic Church which is the first of its kind in the country, announced that they would be opening in Century City.
The Satanic church co-founders, Adri Norton and Riaan Swiegelaar said interest is high, with more than 300 new applicants for membership in June alone
Adri Norton and Riaan Swiegelaar also dismissed some misconceptions people have about their organization.

“We are not a get-rich organisation but rather a religious organisation

Swiegelaar said they don’t do human or animal sacrifices, there’s no initiating rituals and they don’t worship the devil, but they said Satan is an archetype.
Swiegelaar also dismissed being part of the illuminati or some cult and said they’re not coming after children as people believe.
He said members wishing to join their Satanic Church must be 18 years old and above and  must be approved by their seven-member council.

“The council comes together and we review the applications and we ask, is this person really a Satanist? Or they are devil worshippers,” Adri explains.
“A devil worshipper will use the words, ‘Satan the lord, I love Satan, I need to worship Satan’.
“We see Satanism as an archetype, a force, it is not something that needs worshipping.

They said people think they’re after converting people into Satanists but that’s not true.

We don’t do that, we know that Satanists are born. You can’t be converted into a Satanist from another religion.”
