AKWA IBOM STATE CORPERS SURVIVES A REPEAT OF JULY 27

 

An AKTC Bus conveying prospective Corp members to Katsina, Kano and Kaduna was at 11:41pm of Wednesday 1st September 2021 involved in an accident after colliding with a trailer at Ohono community along Abuja/Lokoja Expressway.

According to the story shared by one of the Occupants of the Bus Ekpeno Essien, Onboard the Akwa Ibom state Transport company owned vehicle were prospective Corp members from Akwa Ibom state enroute the NYSC orientation camps at Katsina, Kano and Kaduna state.

The bus was targeting Abuja where they planned to spend the night before being crushed. No life was lost. The prospective Corp members have since been conveyed off the scene while the damaged bus is still stationed at the scene at the time of this post.

Akwa Ibom, the Corp members, their families, loved ones and well meaning Nigerians have thus been spared of a Solemn Executive return on a chartered flight wrapped in National colours alongside royal condolence messages destined for the Soil like the 5 prospective Corp members who passed on in the unfortunate accident along Abaji /Kwari expressway on July 27, 2021.

A Sad reminder of how we take things for granted in Nigeria.
