  ActRight started as a passion of the founder Mary Jonas in 2005 after her National Youth Service at a Social Welfare outfit. She was privileged to see and follow up on gender-based issues during that year and became involved in several community-based activities to encourage women integration.

Then, in 2018, she decided to register her organization to key into the United Nations SDG 3 and SDG 5 among other development goals to attract international partnership.

Abuse is doing something to the wrong effect
Everytime we wake up, we should have it at the back of our mind that abuse is inevitable

Religion is a great factor as far as gender based violence is concern.
This is the time for us to rise up as individuals families and as a people to fight against gender base

For the mere fact that person dress well does not mean that that person is not sick in the head.
"For the mere fact that the man of God shouts Halleluyah on the pulpit does not mean that he cannot abuse you. Don`t be blindfolded by religion"
