Tory Lanez Charged In Megan Thee Stallion Shooting Incident…Faces 22 Years In Prison
Musician Tory Lanez has been charged in connection with the shooting incident involving Megan Thee Stallion.
The rapper released a track on his latest album Daystar claiming his innocence.
According to a report by IBOM TV the L.A. D.A.’s office has charged Tory Lanez with one count of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, and one count of carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle. The D.A. also alleges Tory inflicted great bodily injury.
Rapper, Megan was shot back in July and Tory Lanez was subsequently arrested but only charged with possession of a firearm. The script has flipped with prosecutors now explicitly pointing the finger at Tory as the man who pulled the trigger leaving Meg with a gruesome foot injury.
After a few weeks of speculation, Megan Thee Stallion came out to confirm it was indeed, Tory who pulled the trigger and shot her in the foot.
If convicted Tory Lanez faces up to 22 years and 8 months in prison.
Sources close to Tory Lanez have indicated that there were mitigating circumstances that led to the shooting incident. Reports indicate that if the issue goes to court Tory is going to claim it was an accidental shooting.
Another issue is that Megan posted a picture with a caption saying that she had her back to the SUV when she was shot in the heel. This may be used to indicate that she did not see it with her own eyes when Tory allegedly pulled the trigger.
