Human Teeth Jewellery Industry Booming

Human Teeth Jewellery Industry Booming

human teeth jewellery sold in markets

A growing disturbing trend on social media has left many shell-shocked – and disgusted at the same time.
Pictures of human teeth jewellery in form of necklaces and rings are circulating on social media leaving many with questions where they come from and why some would bedazzle themselves with such out of the ordinary, dark and “inhumane” sparklers.
But the practice, as old as time itself, is not new in this world. Human teeth jewellery industry has been in existence in so many cultures, and most popular in Fiji, Kiribati Islands and New Zealand.
It has found itself a new market in recent times, especially in Africa amongst millennials.
Out of curiosity, the publication looked into the market to find out more about the trend.
Human teeth necklaces and rings are readily available in the market and offered for sale in shops. The pieces range from USD$40 to $200 depending on the number of teeth found on the piece.
In some cases, requests are made to jewellers for designer teeth gems. These tend to be more expensive than readily available ones.
Front teeth and canines are preferred the most – and mostly valued with their roots intact. That means they should be carefully extracted from the source to make sure they don’t get damaged since this is where the necklace cord is usually put through.

Now the question on so many people’s minds is where teeth are gotten from?
According to Daily Sun reports, in South Africa, human teeth are being sold on the black market from as little as R200 per piece.
While not dismissing the fact that teeth may willingly be brought into jewellers by the owners, in most cases they are stolen from graves and mortuaries – or illegally sold by dentists.
Dentists are not allowed to donate or sale patients’ teeth, unless with approval from the owner.
As the market booms, a growing concern has been from the relatives of the deceased. Many wonder if their loves ones in graves still have their teeth intact.
The probability is very high that most deceased may be toothless as they are being hunted down for the newly-found gem.
It takes courage and a higher level of not caring what people say for those who don such trinkets to even go around with such unusual, horrifying and dark drip.
And as the trend grows, government regulations need to be constantly checked to ensure correct processes are followed in the making of human teeth jewellery.

PICS: ‘Naughty’ Adverts That Show How The Food Industry Uses Se_xually Suggestive Campaigns

Naughty Adverts From The Food Industry That Are Se_xually Suggestive
Naughty Adverts From The Food Industry That Are Sexually Suggestive

This past week, quick service restaurant Mambo’s Chickens has been trending on social media platforms due to some of their adverts. Apart from the obvious fact that Mambos’s Chickens has changed its font and colours to a Nandos-esque look, the se_xually suggestive nature of its adverts also attracted a lot of attention.

The advert was obliquely referring to Harare’s red-light district in the Avenues area.
Unsurprisingly, the naughty adverts stirred a lot of mixed feelings. Some applauded the marketing people at Mambo’s for being witty and for making sure that people are always talking about their brand.
Others, however, were mortified by the se_xual innuendos and excoriated the fast-food company for resorting to cheap gimmicks and se_xualising women for their own gain.
Some even claimed, that this is a reflection of what Zimbabwe is and that it does not happen elsewhere in the world. Others claimed, that fast food and casual dining giants such as Nando’s would never stoop so low as to use se_xual innuendos in their advertising.
Thanks to other social media users, we at iHarare found dozens of examples to show that the food industry is very comfortable in using se_x for commercial gain. This is not unique to Mambo’s Chickens or to Zimbabwe but is, in fact, a global issue that needs to be addressed.
Just to emphasize, we do not support the practice and we believe that this can be addressed only if we acknowledge how rampant the practice is and how it transcends borders.
To buttress this, we have compiled some adverts, both local and international, that show how the food industry is quite happy to use se_xual innuendos for profit.  Here are some of the ‘dirty’ adverts.

Chicken Inn
This advert captioned kana uchida kunyatsonakirwa usagumire muzvidya uses a double entendre which loosely translates to if “You want to enjoy yourself fully, go past the thighs.”

Nandos
Nando’s also has a series of se_xually suggestive adverts that use double entendres.
We don’t mind if you touch our buns, or breasts, or even our thighs. Whatever you’re into, enjoying any Nando’s meal with your hands is always recommended.

While the overwhelming majority of adverts are generally about women’s bodies, some also se_xualise men’s bodies as can be seen in the adverts below.

Carl’s Jr

The only consolation is that due to the pressures of social media, advertisers are now axing the racy and se_xually suggestive adverts.
In January KFC apologized for an advertisement in Australia that shows two boys ogling a woman’s breasts, after calls from a local campaign group to boycott the fast-food giant over the ad it called “se_xist”.
Hamburger chain, Carl’s Jnr also dropped the se_xy naughty adverts saying that they want to appeal to a wider consumer base that cares more about food quality.

Meet The 183-Year-Old Man Who Thinks “Death Has Forgotten Him” (Photos)

It is certain that all will answer the great call someday, anywhere and at different times as the average of human being on earth is been considered to be a hundred years.
Though biblically it is said that 70 years is the number appointed for every person and the if you live above that then it is extra.
But interestingly there are people who even live above 100 years and this man happens to fall under that category.

According to her, every woman is a prostitute because every woman has a boyfriend or partner but their sponsors are of different ranks.
“Every woman is a prostitute because every woman has a boyfriend.
Sponsors are in different ranks. If yours would give you 100gh, another’s would give her 1,000gh, she said.

Maharanasi Murasi just completed 183 years of his life as at the time he made this statement which made some people say he has a divine power while others say he is never going to die.

According to a source, Murasi was born in the year 1835 in a village of Bangalore, India and according to reports, the man has worked even up to the age of 122 years.

To his shocking surprise many years has passed even some of his grandchildren have died and he felt that maybe death has forgotten him.
And if you may want to doubt him, he also showed some papers to prove his age which was prepared during the British Rule as many times they tried checking him with the help of physicians in order to get his real age but no way.

What we all know is that when your time is up and no one can question God for the things he does but we will be able to ask Him some questions when we see him in glory.
Do you think death would forget any person on earth?

Taiwanese laundry-modelling grandparents are surprise Instagram hit

Chang Wan-ji and Hsu Hsiu-e in suits in their laundrette

"I never would've thought at my age so many people would want to look at pictures of me," says 84-year-old Hsu Hsiu-e.
She smiles proudly, standing in her laundrette with washed and ironed laundry hanging from overhead poles or stuffed inside glass cabinets all around her.
For 70 years, she and her husband, Chang Wan-ji, 83, have been quietly washing the clothes of the people in Houli District, Taichung City, in central Taiwan.
Over the decades, hundreds of pieces of clothing have piled up that customers had neglected to pick up.
Recently their grandson, Reef Chang, convinced them to have fun by modelling the abandoned clothes and posting the pictures on Instagram.
And to their surprise, their posts have become a big hit - so far their WantShowAsYoung account has 130,000 followers from around the world.
But Reef Chang says he wasn't aiming to make his grandparents famous, he simply wanted to help them fight boredom as they grew old in Houli, a sleepy district of around 50,000 people.

"Their business is not always busy. They would doze off in the shop and their spirits weren't high. So I thought since our family has these clothes, I can remind people to pick up their clothes, and remind my grandparents their life can still be great even in old age," he told the BBC.
So with advice from friends with good fashion sense, he helped his grandparents mix and match shirts, shorts, blouses, and skirts, accessorising with borrowed purses, hats and sunglasses.
He then took fashion magazine-worthy pictures of them posing in front of the washers and and dryers in their old shop.
The looks created - grandpa in shorts and shirts that make him look like he was going to Havana, Cuba for holiday, and grandma in blouses and skirts that accentuated her slim figure - surprised the elderly couple.
The two strike poses that ooze style and chic - even in their '80s.
"Dressed like that, I feel 30 years younger," said Wan-ji, beaming.
Hsiu-e's favourite outfit is the one of her wearing a plaid skirt from her closet and blouse left behind by a customer and a hat. "I like the way I look in that outfit," she said.
Wan-ji, who started the dry cleaner at the age of 14 to help support his family, says people began leaving behind unwanted laundry in recent years when clothes became more affordable.
"In the past, clothes were very expensive," Wan-ji recalled. "When I got married, it cost an ox-cart loaded with 20 bags of rice to pay for my suit. And back then clothes were so valuable that you could take them to the pawn shop if you needed money."
Wan-ji says some people left clothes behind because they were from out of town and forgot to pick them up when they moved. Others passed away and their families didn't care about the laundry. Others had major changes in their lives, including a divorce, that made them forget to pick up their clothes.
The couple have donated hundreds of items of clothing to charities, especially after natural disasters, but they are still left with a few hundred.
Chang Wan-ji
ng Wan-ji says he remembers spending 20 bags of rice for his wedding suit, but now clothes are cheap

They initially felt awkward putting on customers' clothes - a no no in their line of business - but their grandson convinced them to reinterpret fashion, let everyone know that age is not a barrier to having fun with clothing, and that even old clothes can be transformed into trendy outfits.
"They didn't understand at first," said Reef. "They also don't understand fashion trends, but when they were young they were very fashionable. They thought why would people of this generation like clothes from their generation?"
They're now convinced.

Reef says people have told him they've been encouraged to spend time with their own grandparents

Never having had an Instagram or Facebook account, and previously confusing "followers" with stalkers, they now happily listen to their grandson's translations of people's reactions to their posts.
"You two are sooo cute, keep stylin'" wrote a woman from London on Instagram.
"Wan-ji and Hsiu-e's love make me think it's not so scary to grow old," another fan wrote.
What makes the couple happiest is inspiring others to think that age is no obstacle to looking trendy and having fun.
"Many people are not really old, it's just their heart is old. They say they don't have any energy and they rest and rest till their health declines," said Hsiu-e.
Neither she nor her husband plan to retire.

Wan-ji is instead thinking about what to do with the many suits left behind.
He says he'd like to do a "winter season collection" on Instagram next.
For Reef, his reward is not only seeing his grandparents happier, but inadvertently reminding people to spend more time with their elderly loved ones.
"What really touched me is many people typed really long messages to me saying it reminded them that they haven't spent much time with their grandparents," said Reef.

"I feel when I was young, they gave all their time for me. Now that they're so old, I don't know how much more time I will have to spend time with them."
"They're very happy now; they've never been recognised like this," he says.
But what about all the unwanted laundry?
Their Instagram account introduction ends with a friendly reminder: "Don't forget to pick up your laundry."
Someone who saw their posts recently did just that, while bringing in more laundry.

Zimbabwe Photographer Finally Puts Zimbabwe On Google Maps Street View

Tawanda Kanhema a local photographer has made the country proud after he embarked on a solo initiative to put Zimbabwe on Google Maps’ Street View service.
IBOM TV has established from a local publication that, Tawanda Kanhema prompted by the challenges he faced whilst trying to navigate Zimbabwe, decided to work on putting Zimbabwe on Google Street View. Prior to his efforts, Zimbabwe was totally absent from Google street view which made it difficult for tourists and even locals to navigate across the country.

Noticing how difficult it was to navigate without Google maps, Kanhema began working on putting Zimbabwe on Google Street View.   Speaking in an interview Kanhema said that,
“When I began, back in 2016 I have been in the States for about eight years and I was going back to Zimbabwe maybe once a year, so the one thing that struck me going back and forth is the dramatic discrepancies in a digital platform, the kind of technology people used when getting around.’’
He wanted to develop the kind of technology that would help people get around. He added that,

“That discrepancy was probably most described in mapping technology, like estimate how long it will take you getting from point A to point B and being in Africa I have always thought that estimate is so inaccurate. So I was looking for something that I can do improve that.”
“That processes took me about two years but the actual mapping on the ground took me 14 days,” he said. Kanhema talks of the importance of these digital platforms which he says connect the marginalized communities to the rest of the world.
He is so happy that after such a long time he managed to use the power of photography to put Zimbabwe on the Google maps.
“It feels amazing that people are actually using these maps, I see maps as a proxy for what we care about, places, place names, we are thinking about communities that have been left in these platforms, we are thinking of connecting these communities to the rest of the world.”

PHOTOS: Meet A 103-Year-Old Woman Who Gropes Every Man She Meets – Seems Creepy Right?

103 year old phillipino woman

You Won’t Believe What The 103 Year Old Philipino Woman Longs For.

They say some habits die when one gets older, but its never really a thing for the 103 legendary Philippines woman who doesn’t shy away from what she always longs for.

She is in a habit of groping, or rather touching every manhood from every client she gets – with the client’s consent for that matter. Else we wouldn’t be considering it cool.

It’s creepy of course, but she loves it. And, we hope they love it too, right?

Whang-od Oggay, also known as Maria Oggay, is a Filipino tattoo artist from Buscalan, Tinglayan, Kalinga, Philippines.

She is often described as the “last” and country’s oldest mambabatok and is part of the Butbut people of the larger Kalinga ethnic group.

The oldest tattooist has gained a lot of following and admires for her rare talent, especially at her age. More young men also visit her just for the fun of having a centenarian hand brushing off duct from their lousy dic*s.

About her groping obsession – well that is one weird and creepy Philippines culture where old woman grabs the private part of a young man or woman as a way of being funny. They do that if they feel like you’re being close to them and when they treat you like their own grandchild.
But Whang-od Oggay’s excessive obsession sounds more than just a custom. Can it be a sign of what the 104-year-old woman longs for? That which she really misses a lot?
We don’t know.
Check out Whang-od Oggay collection of her groping gallery below;
