War Hits Akwa Ibom Water Company Over MD Position.

RE: WAR HITS AKWA IBOM WATER COMPANY OVER MD POSITION

As the Acting Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Akwa Ibom Water Company Limited my attention has been drawn to a spurious and misleading story published by The Mail Newspaper captioned: “War Hits Akwa Ibom Water Company over MD Position".

I wish to state categorically that this is a piece of evil hatched from the pit of hell, intended to sow seeds of discord. It is a hallucination of the author and his cohorts. The acting MD/CEO firmly states that this is false news as the Acting Managing Director has 

1. Never ever had the said conversation and interaction with the Chairman Board of Directors.

2. Never replaced ten (10) Ad Hoc staff in the company. We have just concluded an extensive audit exercise of which management and the Board of Directors were in support; 

On the advert and qualification of the Ag MD/CEO, the team of fabricators of this falsehood only displayed their bias.

It is obvious that the reporter has refused to pin his or her name to the baseless allegation and rather resorted to going public without verifying this deceptive report by reaching out to the Management of Akwa Ibom Water Company. 

As the Acting MD/CEO, I want to state that I never provided such information.

It is disappointing as we take into cognizance that The Mail news has lent itself to be used as a medium to publish this uncorroborated news just to dent the hard earned reputation of: 

• Hon. (Prince) Uwem Ita Etuk, the Chairman Board of Directors, Akwa Ibom Water Company

• Elder Effiong Essien, The Head of Civil Service

• Engr.(Mrs.) Ime Nsikan-George Asuquo, The Acting MD

• And the entire management of Akwa Ibom Water Company

A development, management totally frowns at. And we wonder if this is ethical in journalism as a profession.

If a news article is given to The Mail by their acclaimed SOURCE, they should have reached out to the persons mentioned to ascertain such before publication. 

However, I wish to state emphatically that no amount of blackmail or sponsored erroneous publications will distract us from discharging our assigned duties.
